Stars glam up for Liverpool Fashion Week

SOAP stars from Corrie, Hollyoaks and Emmerdale were out in force as Liverpool became
the capital of couture. Some of the nation’s most famous faces spent the day getting
glammed up for Liverpool Fashion Week at a pampering suite at the city’s Hard Day’s
Night Hotel.
The celebrities got clothes from Lipsy London in the Lennon suite
and enjoyed luxury beauty spa Brown Cow treatments from Fake Bake
in the McCartney suite. Sporting their new frocks, the girls then hit Kingdom to
see Lipsy headline the Liverpool Fashion Week catwalk show. The place was packed
to the rafters with Britain’s best-loved actresses and TV personalities.
Coronation Street’s Lucy Evans ( Lauren Wilson), Emma Edmondson (Mel Morton) and
Rachael Elizabeth (Abi Sharpe) from Lydiate were on the guest list. The Hollyoaks’
girls didn’t miss the chance to put on designer frocks, as guests knocked back bottles
of plonk and viewed the colourful collections from Drome and Lipsy.
The Mersey soap’s McQueen family – Jennifer Metcalfe (Mercedes), Nicole Barber-Lane
(Myra) and Leah Hackett (Tina McQueen) proved they had more style than their on-screen
characters. Singer Liz McClarnon, X Factor’s Ray Quinn, Hollyoaks’ Roxanne McKee
(Louise Summers), former Eastender Louisa Lytton (Ruby Allen), Emmerdale’s Luke
Tittensor (Daz Eden) were also there.
